Are Your Cosmetics Making You Sick?

Cosmetics

It's long been alleged that women will endure anything for the sake of beauty. For women who live in the U.S., that “anything" may include the use of cosmetics containing toxic chemicals and other harmful ingredients banned in the European Union, Canada, and Japan and elsewhere. Although more than a thousand chemicals are used in beauty products sold in the U.S., the Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) prohibits only ten. This situation exists even though the beauty industry's own experts consider numerous cosmetic ingredients unsafe even when used within recommended limits.

Are those other countries erring on the side of caution, or is the FDA being lax? Take a look at the following pages to learn about a few ingredients the FDA allows that are proven or strongly suspected to be hazardous, and then you be the judge. Is beauty worth any price?
