Listen To Yourself

Do you ever hear your body? Probably not. Its always talking to us. If we sit for too long in one place, our hips hurt. If we are hunched in front of the computer screen, our necks hurt. If we eat level 10 hot wings, our stomachs revolt. You get the picture. But most of us just ignore what we are hearing instead of stopping and really listening to what our bodies are saying. If you can take on this simple task, you could keep from aggravating old injuries, reversing chronic pain ("when I do 'this', it hurts." hello!! don't do that then!), recover quickly from illnesses. Our bodies always have something to say. As I sit hear writing this, my left mid back is screaming at me. I've been in front of the computer for a few hours. So, i'm listening. I'm getting off the computer, once this is finished, and taking a bath. Oh, and tomorrow, i'll be scheduling a massage for next week. Body heard. Are you listening?

Sometimes I wonder if anyone ever listens to anything, let alone our bodies. Gee I love the expression: nature gave us two ears and one mouth for a reason. :-)
