Your New Year's Fitness Resolution!

What do you love about your body? What do you want to change or improve upon? How will you find the motivation to get started?
Well, the first question you should ask yourself is "what do I love to do that makes me feel most alive and best about myself?" Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths and listen closely to what your inner wisdom tells you ... we all have an inner voice and it will always speak the truth if you stop to tune in and really listen.
I love dancing---and yoga and any kind of true mind-body fitness modality that helps to integrate all aspects of my being-- body, mind and soul.
Before launching into a "plan," the trick is to clear a space in your home, get comfortable and settle into yourself ... tune in and listen to what your body is trying to tell you.
The body LOVES exercise in any form-- loves to get the blood flowing and lymph system moving-then the endorphins flow and our mood improves ... we feel better, we start to look better and have more energy!!!! We become inspired and feel like sharing ourselves more readily with another-- physically, emotionally ... when you follow an exercise regime that engages your mind and body fully, all of your senses are stimulated and possibilities open ... your world becomes a bigger, more expansive, more exciting place.
What are you going to do this year to be good to yourself in the realm of exercise?! What are you going to do to honor yourself and the wonderful body and mind you have? I always like to try new things when the new year comes around ... Try something you have wanted to do for a while, but have put off when work or other responsibilities overtook your inspiration. Make yourself your greatest priority this new year! Try something that will boost your energy so that you have the juice to realize your desires! Have you ever tried Pilates or yoga? Both of these schools of mind-body movement strengthen and integrate your energies, increase your flexibility of mind and body and make you feel and look better! Give them a shot this year! The new year is always a time of great creativity for me, and last year at this time, I created this awesome mix of ancient energy techniques called "Waking Energy" and put it on a DVD for people just like you! Aside from increasing your energy and clearing your mind and calming you down, Waking Energy boosts your immune system (which is always so important during the winter months), and increases your longevity and quality of life!
