See www.thegoodfoodnews.com for the full issue and a picture of Maisie. ;-) A month ago, we adopted an adorable Cairn terrier we named Maisie. Say hi to the nice people Maisie : "Ruff ruff!" She came from the Col Potter Cairn rescue organization and was a breeding dog for a puppy mill. Maisie is six years old and has produced 6 or 7 litters and likely spent... 2/21/2008 1:14:48 PM
by Lisa Druxman I am just recuperating from 2 weeks of nasty cold and sinus infection. Yuck! I can't tell you how much it slowed me down. And if you know moms (especially moms who work), we can't afford to slow down. But it occurred to me that maybe just maybe my body is smarter than I am. Just for a couple of weeks, I didn't workout (often) and I didn't wake up at 5:00 a.m. and work late every night like I usually... 2/20/2008 8:00:00 AM
by Brian J. Johnston Here are answers to the questions submitted from my original post: Lift Some Weight in 2008 Hi KathyK, Before I could make ANY recommendations we would need to discuss your past/present health history, including but not limited to: cardiovascular health, orthopedic limitations, past/present injuries, etc. It's ABSOLUTELY possible to achieve your desired goal over the next 4 weeks! It's really quite... 2/18/2008 1:16:50 PM

by Beth Rosenshein I get a lot of email that is very similar. "Ok, I've got hypogonadism, now what do I do?" "My doctor says that menopause is normal but I can't have sex anymore! How is that normal?" "Why do I need testosterone, I don't want to look like a man." "I don't want to change what nature meant to be, but I am miserable and can't sleep" "My wife is afraid of getting breast cancer so she would rather be miserable... 2/12/2008 1:30:10 PM

The negative press about cardiovascular or "aerobic" exercise has been increasing for some time. What began as a healthy trend away from hours upon hours of body pounding aerobic insanity, has morphed into "cardio bashing" by many fitness experts. I've even read articles... 2/12/2008 11:45:08 AM
by Brian J. Johnston Several people had questions from the previous post where I explained the "Why" of Strength before Cardio... Ultimate personal fitness success (yours, mine, everyone's) is directly related/affected/dependent upon the amount of quality lean tissue (muscle) you develop/maintain over the course of your life. As you might imagine, I've had numerous New Year's Resoluters share with me various goals for... 2/6/2008 8:08:01 PM

Your doctor knows that diabetics are primarily treated with bio-identical insulin replacement. Your doctor knows that thyroid deficiency patients are primarily treated with bio-identical hormone replacement.... 1/27/2008 9:06:44 PM
