Why You Need a Natural Cardiologist

In 2012, I left a large cardiology group to start my own practice, Wolfson Integrative Cardiology.

Many have asked why. Why would I give up the security of a fat paycheck and constant influx of patients?

Here are some reasons:

1) Going after the cause. Cardiologists do not care about the cause of disease. They are only concerned about pills and procedures. Cause doesn't pay the bills, treadmills and other imaging tests do. Follow-ups every 3 months are a steady paycheck. The CAUSE is poor nutrition and chemicals. I teach this to patients and they invariably get healthy when they follow my directions.

2) Short office visits. Most heart docs spend 10-15 minutes with their patients. They do not need much longer because all they do is fill prescriptions and order dangerous procedures. Test results are typically not explained to any degree. Risks of pills and procedures are also given a quick passby. I spend 75 minutes with new patients. That is the minimum amount of time to really understand the health situation of the patient.

3) Many patients in the conventional practice do not care about taking charge of their health. In a 10 minute office visit, it is hard to change that mentality. The patients who come to see me really care about getting healthy. They want to go after the cause.

4) Vitamins instead of prescription drugs. Would you rather take evidence-based supplements or pharmaceuticals? If you would rather take pharma, a natural practice is not right for you.

5) State-0f-the-art testing. Heavy metals, genetics, toxic chemicals, hormones, food sensitivies, inflammation, micronutrients and more all play a role in heart health. Don't you want to know this type of information?

My new book, The Paleo Cardiologist, addresses the cause of heart disease. I offer practical solutions and the ultimate in heart disease prevention. Please check it out at thedrswolfson.com or pre-order on Amazon and other etailers.
