I wondered why? Now I know, it's because when your muscles are extremely tight, they no longer pump lymphatic fluid through themselves, which is a washing effect of the muscle tissue. Without this washing the cellular debris, viruses, metabolic waste and bacterium, can build up. Massage therapy physically force's these out of the muscle's and returns it to the immune system. Once the knots or trigger points were worked out of my back, I felt great, had more energy and slept better. So what are you waiting for? Go out and get a massage, it is wonderful.
