Today is the first day of the rest of my life!

That is probably my favorite saying! What would the world be like if we all started every day thinking that. I think there would be more smiles and less road rage. More kindness and less impatience. Maybe, you'd even find that you'd be nicer to yourself. Start the day with a positive saying. What we've done in the past is.. just that, in the past. Mistakes are lessons, and successes are...better. But they both mold us and make us into who and what we are.

On a day when you wake up knowing you have to deal with a bad situation at work, and its dreary outside and the kids are sick. What is your plan of attack? If you don't have one..create one now! Did you know that smiling to yourself actually improves mood? So look in the mirror and smile, even if you don't want to. If your spouse walks in and says "what the heck are you doing?", you can laugh together. Your day has just taken on a different attitude. When the dog is at your feet bugging you to be fed, SMILE. Do it, SMILE! Your mood will continue to lighten. Keep forcing yourself to build off of your smile. It will affect your family as they head out the door. It will affect your coworkers, but most important, it will clear your mind of that dreaded fog. We are all dealing with issues everyday. In a year from now, it won't be the issue you dealt with, it will be how you handled it. That's what we pass on to our kids, our friends, and our soul mates, that's what they will remember.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life! What are you going to do with it? The sky is yours baby!

Live it, love it, cry in it, but do it! None of us know how many we have left.

Carpe Diem my friends..Seize the day!

In Strength,
