Former employees of Med Ops have also raised questions about the company's conduct and ethics. Under oath, in depositions obtained by 7NEWS, the company's former operations manager was asked, "Were you aware of any instances in which medical reports generated by physicians were altered or changed by Medical Ops Management personnel without the knowledge or consent of the physician?" She responded, "Yes." The former employees say Medical Ops Management used a doctor's electronic signature or a rubber stamp on the amended report. "Reports were being changed," she said. Davis declined to explain his actions to 7NEWS and he did not show up for a deposition to answer questions about his role in altering IMEs. There is currently a warrant out for his arrest on a charge of "failure to appear." Responding to 7NEWS' story and the accusations, Medical Ops Management announced major changes in the way it does business. The company's director of operations has suspended all quality assurance reviews of doctor's reports, meaning that doctors will no longer be contacted to edit their reports before they are issued.
