How many times in a week do married couples have sex

This is a question that I get asked by many couples who are having marital difficulties, they want to know the average amount of sex a married couple should be having a week. In three poles with numerous results that I compiled as a writer and marriage counselor most people said three times a week, but that does not mean that they are having it that much? That is the answer, both men and women surprisingly said that the average and acceptable amount is three times week.

I wanted to take this question to the next step so I did a direct question and asked men and women both if there partner wanted to have sex everyday would that be acceptable. Well surprisingly enough the men or a majority of men though that was fantastic and a majority of women, but not all said that was just too much.

Then there were the random couple who felt that if they could have really great passionate sex once a week as opposed to just ok sex three times a week they would go for the passionate sex.

The debate continued and the conclusion was that many couples were actually not having regular sex at all. Some would go months without having sex with their spouse. Those couples were of course not happily married.

The happily married couples were having great passionate sex three times a week, and a rare few were having it every day!
