ABC news reported Monday March 9th, 2010 that a growing number of women are experiencing "unusual breaks" in their thigh bones. These women happen to be taking the popular drug for osteoprosis, Fosamax.
This is not a new concept; doctors from top institutions and medical doctors with various research backgrounds have been suggesting the correlation between osteoporosis drugs and they skyrocketing cases of femur breaks in women who use this medication.
According to ABC news, this drug causes brittle bone disease over a period of time. FDA (who is supposed to protect us from deadly and dangerous drugs and food) has made no comment on this regard. Fosamax developer is Merck and have not issued anything regarding this problem with the drug and its side effects.
