Today

Today I needed to reactive my blog here because it has been so long I forgot my login passcodes and username. Right now I am home due to a minor injury and really wishing I was at work. Yes, I LOVE my job. Well I really really enjoy my work. Being in the business of helping people can be stressful especially if your an empathic like myself. I can wear down quickly if I am not careful.

I have been noticing more often lately that I am in fact drawing in other people with whom I work with- emotional responses. I often call this emotional residue. It is important for anyone who is empathic to learn to distinguish our own experiences and those of others as they linger on us. I did not always understand this importance until a few years back.

Now, I am able to realize this residue and begin to remove it. I have been told that we can simply awash ourselves with a color of light. Green being the choice color-as it is renewing and cleansing. If no light source is available in a color, then one only has to imagine being washed from head to toe with a green warm light much like taking a shower. In fact it can be done while in the shower if you have the time.

I have found the effectiveness of this process is easier said than done and requires practice. Much like meditation does. So off I go to begin my cleansing of empathic residue. Try this method, or search for other methods that can be easily adapted to your personality and lifestyle. Just please remember to give thanks to self and a higher power and make the day anew
