Clear Your Thoughts

Hi Wellness.com!!

This is my first ever blog! I will post more as I get familure with the process! As a Marriage and Family Therapist I have seen hundreds of clients with anxiety related disorders. Anxiety disorders account for 30% of all mental heath problems in the USA.

Here are a few simple suggestions that I have used to help people with anxiety learn to clear their thoughts:

1) Notice where you are and what you are doing
2) Try to identify what triggered your negative thinking
3) Take deep breaths and say the word "Clear".
4) Realize whatever the situation, "This too shall pass"
5) Learn to reframe how you are interpreting your view of reality
6) Make the choice to take a 5 minute vacation from the stress
7) Say the words "Just Let Go"
8) Write down 5 other options you might take, other than stressing

If your anxiety persists, please seek professional help. . .
