I am 49-year-old gay male whose life continues to have a great deal of meaningfulness and I believe relevance for others. I think I am fortunate that life experience and knowledge acquired from a few graduate programs and a couple significant relationships has made a difference in my life and the lives of others. I enjoy what I do everyday. My "work" has some diversity, but shares a basis of trust and helping people. As a psychotherapist, teacher and writer, my work allows me choices consistent with my values while still earning a living. "Karma" is heard so frequently in conversations these days that it is not always possible to know if one person's precepts are similar to another person's karmic line in the sand. For me, I believe it is a distinctive thing about my way in the world. However, my respect for the richness of karma is not the person that you would actually meet and I mention it initially to be able to move on to more personal and possibly mutual information.
Away from work, I treasure my personal time. I enjoy the company of people with a similar perspective about living each day as true to themselves as possible - -or at least willing to enjoy that degree of difficulty in trying. I am much more right-brained, but have been able to thrive in our left-brained world. I have an indoor/outdoor sensibility with a passion for Nature as well as culture - - high and low. Practicality looses to my intuition, but luckily, I am more inspired than simply spontaneous. I am a Leo and still love to play. If you can recall times when it is your body more than your mind that has all the answers, you know what this is too.
