Dr Shahid has summarized his six principles of health in a very simple form. Simplicity sometimes may not be politically correct. Well...What is wrong if you get the message and decide to live until 100 - 125 years and longer?"
Dr Shahid further emphasizes:
"If you follow these Six Principles of Holistic preventive Life style faithfully, you may never have to see any health care provider (i.e. MD, DO, DC, NP, PA, DP, DD, OD, psychiatrist, psychologist, chiropractor, spiritualist, homeopath, naturopath, herbalist and all the rest of HCPs) during all your long and healthy life;
"......Moreover, you will live a life that is full of vigor, enthusiasm, happiness and contentment for 100-125 years and even longer."
What else can anyone ask for? Does it sound too good to be true?
Well... IT IS "too good" and IT IS "true".
Remember! Health is what "YOU" make of it. It is "YOUR" responsibility. Not your health care provider's.
Follow these six principles of Dr Shahid's Preventive Health. Also known as "Preventive Healthy Life Style (PHLS)", and see the result for yourself. You be the judge. The best part of it is, "it won't cost you a penny". It is all free. And
"YOU WILL NEVER HAVE TO SEE ANY HEALTH CARE PROVIDER FOR AS LONG AS YOU LIVE."
As they say,
"One ounce of prevention is better than two pounds of cure."
So here are the six principles of holistic preventive healthy life style.
The basis of these six principles (holistic prevention) is already discussed in previous blogs. In summary these principles are,
Three do's, that you must do:
1. Eat Balanced Diet 2. Do a regular Physical Exercise (PE) 3. Rest (10-15 minutes) between daily hard work, every 2-3 hours; sleep (6-8 hours daily uninterrupted sleep) and enjoy frequent entertainments, holidays and recreations.
And three don'ts, that you must not do:
4. Don't smoke at all. Don't drink excessively and don't take any un-prescribed or unnecessary prescribed medications. In other words, don't poison your vital organs (brain, heart, lungs, liver and kidneys). 5. Don't over-eat or under-eat 6. Don't worry (worry is the worst enemy of physical, mental and spiritual health)
------------------------------------
Let us discuss these principles in detail. The first principle of preventive health is a balanced diet. It consists of three parts:
1. Proteins, Fat & Carbohydrates in right proportion. 2. Vitamins, Minerals, fibers (VMF) 3. Water and Oxygen
We have discussed Proteins, Fat & Carbohydrates in detail. We have also discussed the vitamins.
Now we are discussing another important aspect of balanced diet, i.e. minerals.
There are following minerals:
Of the 92 naturally occurring elements, the 14 minerals that have been shown by research to be essential to human health are:
We already discussed Calcium. Now we discuss Boron, another mineral.
BORON
Boron is a trace mineral that helps maintain healthy bone and joint function. Boron is involved in calcium and magnesium metabolism and, therefore might prevent bone loss associated with osteoporosis.
Boron is a trace mineral primarily found in plant foods (fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts). Some good sources of Boron include grape and prune juice, avocados, peanuts, pecans, apples, dried beans, and potatoes. Boron is highly absorbable by the body and is present in body tissues, especially the bone and spleen. Boron has been found to support mineral metabolism and cell membrane function/structure. Boron influences the strength and structure of the bones as well.
Boron (B) is a trace mineral that is essential for plants. Boron may ... be essential for humans and animals based on recent experimental evidence showing that boron affects blood biochemical markers of energy and mineral metabolism. Specifically, boron seems to be important for energy utilization and the development and maintenance of bone.
P.S. I must thank all of those readers who send me comments and questions. I must tell them that their inspiring comments and questions are highly appreciated. Please continue to write, preferably via email.

I received this email and I feel I must share it with everyone. It is an example of oyr health care Industry's wrong approach to health problems.
Sydshahid
Dear Dr. S,
I have come across you on the internet and you seem a very good person to ask a question to concerning my health which has become so complicated. I hope you don't mind me asking you. I live in the usa- ourside NYC- I have been fighting all sorts of weird infections for some time now and finally a lyme doctor took a look at a comprehensive blood report and found my vit d 1,25 to be 91 and vit d 25- also i aam carry CPN, hhv6, some band activity for lyme, and ebv. I just had an MRI and no apparent MS findings but my max. sinus' have polyps again after only 6 months since endoscopic surgery- i have since been suffering headaches. In addition, my hormones are going nuts and I have confirmed granuloma annulare on my feet, hands, shins. I am a 36 year mother of 3 kids and It is totally bumming me out that this has taken over for me. The reason i keep trying to find the problem has been joint pain in my knees and fingers and swelling of hands and now feet. That has led me to the Lyme doc who uncovered the ther things. But- she has told me to read about Trevor Marshall because of the th-1 inflammation and hight VIT d - as you can imagine- this is a lot for a normal person to make sense of. Do i try the benicar because of the high vit d- how do i lower- i am so confused. I am starting slow- taking only 50mg of minocycline for the past 2 weeks and its been fine for the most part- first worse but only for about 3 days - now my headache is less and my aches are a bit less too but the swelling seems worse. I don't mean to bother you but you have that special knowledge of Psych and few people can put the whole picture together. I also take 10mg of celexa and about 30-40 mgs of vyvanse - literally could not make it without them but i worry that they could be exacerbating the problems- do you know? any sort of perspective would be greatly appreciated.

I gave her the following response.
Thank you for your email Sally.
The only perspective I come from is Preventive Medicine. If you follow my "Six Principles of Health", you will cure yourself from all medical (Physical, mental and spiritual) problems. It is a panacea (cure) for everything.
I don't see any health problem in my patients. I find them victim of unnecessary formulary (over-prescription) and over-diagnoses. More physicians you will go to, more problems you will encounter. It is as simple as that. Physicians are trained to find illnesses not health. You are a perfect example (victim) of this over-rated Health Industry’s poor judgment. In my opinion medical profession of today is a slap on human health. It should be called Un-health Industry because that is exactly what it is.
“STOP” going to physicians! Find a suitable gym near your area, exercise and follow my six principles of health. I guarantee you, you will on the road to recovery.
Make this your new year’s resolution.
Take care and have a happy New Year.
