Would you like to have more health and happiness in your life? Would you like helping others to have it too?
Congratulations. I am glad you are doing something about your life. I acknowledge your courage. It does take a lot of courage looking at our own lives and seeing what is really going on... Doesn't it? Now, do you want to help others?
A few words about myself: 20 years in health care field... crazy work hours... personal health not very high priority, till warning signs... trying to do something to prevent problems - and not knowing what to do... swinging from western medicine to alternative medicine and back... trying lots of "cures-for-all" and realizing something must be wrong... finally looking outside of the box and finding true answer (thanks for all good books and other resources that were out there for me)... now clearly knowing that the most powerful health determinants are outside of medicine (either western or alternative)...
Do you know what to do in order to be healthy? I know that you personally are doing it right... However, many other people are not...
Watching other people making exactly the same mistakes that I did amazes (and amuses) me now. It is a sad amusement, I have to say...
What makes me truly sad is that I can not find a good way to explain it to those people who need to know it. Knowledge alone, of course will not help, but it is a first step...
No, I have no trouble explaining this concept to people. Many people (including yourself I am sure) do know it already or get it very quickly. The problem is that those people who need it most don't want to hear about it.
I just started a health portal (first as a hobby). It's a nice portal. I like it and many people who I showed it to like it as well. Unfortunately, people who use it are the people that need it least!
How do I reach those "lost souls" who need it most?
If you have ideas of how to promote the knowledge about health determinants to the people who need it most please, let me know. I would be very happy to discuss this topic and debate with whoever wants to debate. I am very passionate about this, as you can probably tell...
Thanks, Penny! I think you gave me the most brilliant advice. Exactly, live to lead it... I love it.
I just found an artcile on the internet and posted a link to it in on my portal talking exactly about it: "living a health life to lead it".
Best wishes!
I think you pointed out the most important reason why we, as (Western)society, seem to grow more overweight by the day! Those "lost souls" that need it the most "don't want to hear about it!" Television and books are saturated with programs on reducing fat and promoting health and wellness. Unless you're amish, I don't see how the knowledge can be escaped. You keep doing what you're doing, but focus on yourself first and foremost. Some may call it selfish, but I think personal fulfillment is the path to enlightening others. Friends do what friends do. If your friends, or someone that wants to become your friend, sees your joyous life. They will be more inclined to listen to the advice you give! Enjoy your day and to YOUR health!
