Though I was worried about the cost of Heather’s services, I was ready for a change in my life and to do what it took to make that happen. The most significant breakthrough I had was giving myself permission to eat, or not eat, whatever/whenever I wanted to. Both of those concepts took some getting used to because of the guilt I felt with eating unhealthy foods or throwing away food that I didn't want. But now that I'm past it, I'm not obsessing over food in general anymore, and I don't crave the junk like I used to. When I do crave something, I have it and don't feel the need to binge.

I liked meeting with Heather and working through the thoughts and feelings I had through the week. The point is to trust yourself and your ability to manage stress and food and not get stuck in a downward spiral of negative thinking. The benefits of having a healthier mindset around food have out-weighed any other change I've ever made in my life.

I was initially hesitant to get started working with Heather because I found the program to be a bit costly, but I can’t say I didn’t get my money’s worth! As a result of working with Heather, I have found freedom from food tracking, calorie counting, and jumping from diet to diet. My weight did not skyrocket like I thought it would, and I have peace of mind around all my eating. Forty years of controlled eating is a lot to overcome! It’s really nice to have someone believe in you when you never believe in yourself. Heather consistently supported and encouraged me by reminding me how far I had come at each of our visits.
My advice: Heather’s program is not easy; you have to work at it daily. The support from her and continued access to her online content is a huge help. Use the tools she provides as they will be a great benefit.

Before I got started working with Heather, I had a lot of anxiety about potentially eating too much between meals. But now, I’m more keenly aware of my fullness, I can stop eating when I’m no longer hungry, and I can comfortably keep snacks in the kitchen. While she was in no way prying, Heather was very helpful in considering family, social, or work influences that may contribute to poor eating habits. As a result of my work with Heather, I have gained an appreciation for some new foods (and I lost an appreciation for some old ones), I feel encouraged to cook more often, and I no longer feel guilty from overeating occasionally. I would definitely recommend Heather to anyone I know who is constantly in and out of diets to not only save time and money but also to gain a real understanding of what healthy eating is.

In the past, I suffered from frequent stomachaches and let my brain rule my food decisions. Now that I’ve been through Hearher’s Program, I listen more to my body and rarely experience stomacheaches and uncomfortable fullness. Additionally, Heather provided ideas for new foods I hadn’t tried and allowed the program to unfold at my pace. I found Heather’s approach to eating sensible and freeing. I could never go back to the depressing rules and restrictions of dieting. Thank you, Heather, for your encouragement and expertise.

Before I started working with Heather, I thought of foods as “good” or ”bad”, and I felt a lot of guilt after eating a “bad” food. Now I no longer feel guilty after eating certain foods – my relationship with food has changed. I was able to lose ten pounds by following her intuitive eating plan, and my self-esteem has improved. The only thing I would have improved is having more healthy recipes to share. I’m so glad I did this!
