Dr. Thomas is a kind hearted, amazing surgeon that put patient as his first priority!
Dr. Thomas had performed a L neck dissection on me. Knowing my medical situation, he was able to expedite my surgery by re-arranging his schedule. Because of his superb skilled hand, I had a speedy recovery and the wound healed beautifully. Having family member works in the medical field, Dr. Thomas was highly recommended by multiple physicians including internists and ENT specialists. I am forever thankful to Dr. Thomas in saving my life.
Highly recommend Dr. Thomas as he is a top-notch surgeon who is patient centered and caring!

I consulted Dr. Thomas early this year for severe nasal obstruction. Clinical exam and CT findings revealed a nasal spur and chonca bullosa (enlarged air filled inferior turbinate). Later on, Dr. Thomas performed septoplasty and inferior turbinectomy to correct my surgical condition. Based on my pre- and post-operative experience with Dr. Thomas I would give him a straight 5 star rating. I found Dr. Thomas very sensitive to my needs as a patient. He was always available to address my concerns - in clinic as well as via email. My healing went precisely as predicted by him pre-operatively. While reading postings online and listening to others with post-surgical complications (adhesions, saddle nose, permanent anosmia, recurrence etc.) after septoplasty and turbinectomy, I consider myself lucky to have him as my surgeon and would recommend him without reservation to my near and dear ones who have similar or related nasal condition.

I saw Dr. Thomas by recommendation of several doctors in Maine for squamous cell carcinoma. He saved my life and did so with the utmost professionalism and sincerity. I have a great appreciation for him and all of the staff at Dana Farber and would recommend him to family and friends alike.

I had a parotid gland tumor diagnosed by another physician who told me it was cancer. I knew enough that the pathology reports spoke to a tumor finding but not cancer. I was lucky enough to get into Dr. Thomas, who said he could not say it was NOT cancer but he could not say it WAS until he took it out. Luckily it was not. The care, the surgery and the follow was amazing. My scar which was big enough to flip the side of my face open to get it out is not evident. He is amazing.

I was referred to Dr Tom Thomas back in 2011 by my PCP. I was diagnosed with Leukoplakia. It started from a white patch on my tongue. Dr. Thomas explained everything involved to my husband and I. Then he scheduled Surgery. The surgery is called a Glossectomy. It went fine! I still see Dr. Thomas for-followups a few times each year since the surgery. I highly recommend him ! He is Caring, knowledgeable, and a Brilliant Dr. and Surgeon.

Diagnosis: cancer of a tonsil, migrated into two lymph nodes. Dr. Thomas at DFCI was recommended by my ENT doctor. I met with Dr. Thomas who confirmed the diagnosis and what the treatment would entail. Dr. Thomas was thorough, professional and compassionate. He has a great smile and exudes confidence. It is not misplaced pride or arrogance but outstanding "bed-side manner." My wife an I were impressed with Dr. Thomas then and even more NOW after surgery. HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. THOMAS AND DFCI.

I met Dr. Thomas after my diagnosis of Glotus-Laranyx Cancer in 2012. He was very straight forward explaining the procedure that he would perform and how it would be a life changing experience but not a life ending experience. He not only gave me the assurance that he could remove all the cancer but I could continue my life afterwards. This is a doctor that doesn’t believe in giving false hope either. He went over everything that my operation would entail and after he was done, he told me to take the time to absorb the enormity of the operation and was available for any questions that I or my niece would have. True to his word, after we recovered from the shock. He answered many of our questions with kindness and confidence. I am now 4 years out and even after the 5 year mark, I will continue voluntarily to see him once a year. Dr. Thomas is an extremely talented professional who truly cares about his patients. I would trust him with my life which of course I already have.

My journey with Dr Thomas has been wonderful! He has been compassionate, kind, caring and informative on each step of my surgery and recovery. Once the surgery was schedule I was comfortable and had the greatest confidence to trust my life with him. My oral squamous cell cancer of the cheek was long, intense and required 3 surgeries in 1 to complete the removal and reconstruction of my cheek. The results of the reconstruction are amazing and I am cancer free today thanks to Dr. Thomas.

In Nov. 2011 my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 papillary thyroid cancer. It was a dark day in our otherwise other wonderful life. We were refered to Dr. Tom Thomas, MD.MPH at Dana Farber in Boston, MA. He answered all our questions and talked to us like we were family. He and his staff treated us both like we were the only people in the world.
Dr.Thomas performed a totaly Laryngectomy and bi-lateral neck disection on my husband on Jan. 11, 2012 and gave him his life back. Dr. Thomas and his staff have been there for us with each scare and question we have had over the last 4 years, without a blink of an eye. My husband has been able to enjoy our family and see 2 great grandchildren be born thanks to Dr. Thomas and his staff. And I was given the most precious gift of all - My husband for many more years. We would and do recommend Dr.Thomas to anyone. He is an amazing surgeon, person and friend.

Dr. Thomas is extremely approachable, straightforward, and is always open to answering all of my questions. It was immediately clear that he was an expert in the field and I knew right away that he was the surgeon I wanted to tackle my oral squamous cell carcinoma. In July '15 he performed a left inferior maxillectomy and left neck dissection. Because of his skilled hand, I'm happy to report that I healed beautifully and am now cancer free. I would very highly recommend Dr. Thomas & his exceptional team.
