I highly recommend Dr. Tom Thomas! I saw Dr. Thomas to remove an adenoid cystic carcinoma cancer tumor in my right buccal oropharynx area. The tumor was about 2 centimeters in its largest dimension, and had some spreading that was not seen on the MRI pictures. Dr. Thomas removed the mass and obtained clean margins.

My surgical experience could not have been better. I was completely comfortable at all times. My last memory was breathing oxygen from a mask for the surgery team in the operating room at 11:00AM; then I woke in another room, wondering if anything had been done to me, as I was not feeling pain, was not groggy, was not nauseated, and felt very well. The clue that something had happened was the wall clock; 3 hours had passed since my last memory; it was 2:00PM. Soon, I was eating ice chips, followed by gelatin and then custard. This was about 3:00PM. I was then asked if I felt I could transfer from the hospital bed to an easy chair, which I was readily able to do. I saw my family and friends once settled in the chair and was discharged from the surgical day unit at 4:00PM.

Dr. Thomas explained the problem and procedures very well. He listened to my major concern, which was sickness from anesthesia. Dr. Thomas most definitely treated me like an individual, not a case, or case number. His bedside manner was excellent.

I live about 120 miles from Dr. Thomas, and am grateful that he was within reach to me. I know I made the right choice with Dr. Thomas. I trusted him with my life, and would again.

Dr. Thomas was the surgeon I saw when I had to have surgery for thyroid cancer. Truly one of the best doctors I've ever had. I would recommend him without hesitation.

Dr. Thomas provided exceptionally great care before, during, and after surgery and I will forever be grateful. Thanks to Dr. Thomas my wife and I are living a normal life and once again looking forward to the future. Dr. Thomas's straightforward approach mixed with a sense of humor and compassion lessened our anxiety and made my surgery and subsequent treatment plan doable. Also, the much less invasive T.O.R.S surgery he performed left me with barely a visible scar which is a true testament to his professionalism and many skills. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Thomas as a Surgeon / Doctor.

I was referred to Dr. Thomas after a nodule was found in my neck. Dr. Thomas and staff welcomed me into his practice with care, support, and respect. After further testing done by Dr. Thomas I was diagnosed with cancer lesion on my tongue and lymph nodes in my neck. I needed surgery to remove the lesion and several lymph nodes. The surgery Dr. Thomas preformed was done robotically. Dr. Thomas made me feel at ease, and was always there for support. He has excellent bedside manner. I can't say enough about Dr. Thomas and definitely would recommend him to my family and friends.

After trying to find a doctor in our area to perform my surgery, I was lucky enough to be referred to Dr. Thomas at Dana Farber. Dr. Thomas adjusted his schedule to get me into surgery, as soon as possible. I had cancer of the larynx which involved a few lymph nodes. In July of 2015, Dr. Thomas performed a total laryngectomy, which is a difficult and lengthy surgery. Dr. Thomas was very thorough explaining everything to me and my family. After the surgery, Dr. Thomas and his team were very caring and supportive. Doctor Thomas is professional, friendly & easy to talk to. I would highly recommend Dr. Thomas to anyone as a surgeon/doctor.

Dr. Thomas is a very skilled and highly competent surgeon and I would recommend him without question. Not only is he very educated and skilled in his craft, but he has the gift of human compassion and understanding and knows how to make a patient feel safe. I went to him at Dana Farber Cancer Institute because of cancer of the tongue and despite the very frightening circumstances he made me feel protected and cared for. This combination of intelligence, skill and compassion are rare.

Dr Thomas is an excellent surgeon and always caring and personal. He performed surgery on the lymph glands in my neck causing no pain and leaving an invisible scar. He is tops in his fiels.

Dr. Thomas performed very challenging robotic surgery to remove cancer from my tongue, throat and tonsils and also performed surgery on my neck to check 47 nodes to assure I was cancer free. Unrelated and in a separate surgery, he removed my thyroid gland after cancer was discovered as part of a follow-up scan.
Dr. Thomas is an outstanding surgeon. He is also an outstanding person who communicates extremely well and shows compassion and kindness beyond belief. My wife and I will forever believe he saved my life. He is my doctor, my angel and my friend.

I am so grateful to be under the care of Dr. Thomas. From the moment I met him I was at ease and knew I was in the best possible hands. His bedside manner, surgical skill and ability to put you at ease when facing a tough diagnosis is unmatched. I would recommend Dr. Thomas to all of my friends and family. He is an example of what every medical professional should be.
