My husband and I got a 4 month old puppy from a limited environment who was very afraid and anxious in new situations, such as in a small vets office with new people. The staff at HVC was so considerate of his state of mind, they did not push him, they gave him treats, spoke kindly and moved slowly. Within a couple minutes he was comfortable enough with them to do the exam. The fact that the staff took their time with him, and did not rush him through the exam in a frightened state, made all of the difference. On the next visit a couple weeks later, our puppy seemed to remember that this was a 'nice place to go' where he gets treats, and he did not even notice when they gave him his vaccinations. We are so pleased, and feel so comfortable taking him there. We have also called a couple times with questions about our new puppy, and they have provided helpful, friendly answers each time. We recommend this vet to family, friends, and strangers.

The staff is very friendly, and we did not wait long for our appointment. I was very impressed. I was impressed with how knowledgeable and well-informed the staff was. They took it slow with our new puppy, who was anxious in the exam room. They spoke softly and handed him treats until he warmed up. They were able to answer all my questions, and provided us with comfort knowing they could give us the best advice for our dog. It was great to be able to talk to such a skilled staff. They even welcomed us to bring our puppy by any time to weigh him inside the front lobby, and give him a treat, so that he would be comfortable coming to his vet visits.
