Pricing was ok. The scooter we rented died several times, once while on a bus that was held up due to this, and once while on a line waiting to view the Liberty Bell making it untrustworthy to use the following day. My wife did not want to be stuck in Philly with a dead scooter unable to get around. Hence, we had to cancel our plans for the day because you can't get in touch with anyone after 5:00 pm or on a Saturday as there is no available personnel to reach in case of an emergency to obtain another scooter or chair. The manager I spoke with after 3 days of phone calls attempting to reach him had poor customer service and management skills, only able to state that "our prices are better than others" and repeat what "the company's policy is" that was irrelevant to the problem at hand, discounting my consumer concerns. He told me that the same scooter was "tested" and rented the following Tuesday without incident implying that I was lying about what occurred and a 25% restocking fee applies. Believe me, this has nothing to do with money as that is minimal, but all to do with customer relations. I would not recommend this company as reliable or consumer conscious.
I recently found myself stranded in Philadelphia when my scooter stopped working. I was referred to Marx Medical Equipment for assistance and the minute I spoke to them my problem became their problem, their response exceeded my expectations!
They picked up my scooter, contacted the manufacturer, fixed my scooter and delivered it to me in New York City. I found myself in the hands of the most friendly, efficient, reliable, dedicated, professional group that made me feel like I was a long standing client. I highly recommend Marx Medical Equipment!
