Can not say enough about caring and attentive these people are! They have always helped us take care of our diabetic cat. And helped us through the stages of him passing. Dr Baker tries to give choices for treatment, not just going for most expensive. She's kind, caring and compassionate, while being professional and level headed.

We wanted to try accupuncture for our dog and waited a month for an appointment. It happened to fall in our vacaton week so we cut our vacation short to get back in time to bring her in for her appt. We arrived a half hour early and after waiting an additional half an hour after our scheduled time, I went to the receptionist to ask if it would be much longer and before I could even ask, she told me that yes, Dr. Smith was way, way behind. (Our appt was for 10:45 in the morning and she was already behind). They then told us that she was in with a patient and their was another appt. before ours. Which meant probably another hour wait at least. If I had not asked, no one would have told us. There were also 2 other people in the office that had come in shortly after us and were still waiting also. We were there for an hour and only saw one cat get called in to be seen. Our dog has inflamed elbows and I did not want to have her lie on the hard floor for another hour so we left and we will never, ever, go back. Maybe the accupuncture is worth it but the bad experience prior just did not instill confidence in me.

A special thank you to Dr, Baker and staff. I had adopted a dog from the SPCA not being told the dog That the dog couldn't be groomed, and had a very mean side to her . Upon having her checked out,she needed heart worm test.. The dog made a mess and tried to bite the staff.Dr. Baker never was upset and was very concerned about my safety with this dog. I then made a decision for the safety of very one concerned.

We visited Highland for the very first time. We have indoor cats so we don't get regular check ups or shots. When our cats had an illness - the Highland staff got them in the next day and treated them wonderfully. They did not give us a hard time about not knowing their medical history or being "regulars". Our cats are much better and this team is very understanding!

Dr. Smith is very caring, concerned, attentive, highly qualified, educated and continually advancing in her training and education and provides the same quality care for my dog as she would her own. She went over thoroughly all options on treating my dog and I felt very confident I was receiving the best possible care short of going to a "Specialist" which was an option I chose not to do. My dog was comforted and well cared for. I've already told my friends and family about the fantastic experience I had there. I knew I was getting top-of-the-line treatment when they told me about the latest conference they attended, and how they were incorporating that knowledge into the practice. There is always food and water available. I love that they are always more than happy to answer my questions, and actually welcome questions. I've felt awkward at some other places I've visited when I've tried to ask a lot of questions, but not here.

They were more concerned with the money, telling me this could be what it is and it would cost this, or it could be that and this is what it would cost. Then when we brought our dog in again they left our sick dog laying on the floor while explaining a 2 page document we had to sign to admit her instead of taking her in and starting IV and then having us sign whatever paperwork they need signed to save our dog. Well, we took our dog home on Friday afternoon and she died Saturday morning. They did nothing to save her, just run up the bill.THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY, NOT THE ANIMALS!!!!!
