You better have a lot of money in your checking account if you plan on getting treated by Dr. Lutz. First off, you won't receive the bill until about 2-3 months after the initial visit. Insurance will only pay a small percentage of what chiropractors (or another other health profession) bill for; therefore, some bill insurance a ridiculous amount per service, in hopes of receiving more money. After the insurance reimburses Dr. Lutz, he then will bill you the rest of the amount. If you are going to inflate your prices ($120 initial eval, $60 spine adjustment, $45 Therapeutic exercise, $25 electrical stimulation, extremity adjustment etc.) in hopes of getting more money from insurance then you can't expect your patients to pay those charges. It is one thing to charge that much for your services, but the worst part is that he blanket bills per diagnoses for every service he offers, whether or not he actually performs that service during your time with him. My bill had 3 different billed treatments on it that he did not even attempt to perform.
I'm not one to complain, and wouldn't have in this case, until I heard from a family member that got the same outlandish treatment. I have been going to chiropractors for 16 years and never have been charged this much. This is your warning folks
