Did your provider offer a holistic approach to your experience with them?
I wanted to feel that I got some value after my appointment but I can't say they had a holistic approach.

The employees seem to be friendly to obviously repeat customers. English is mostly not their first language; they are somewhat blasé which may be their culture. -
I will not go back to this place.
The first time I checked for a walk-in appt, they did not want to go through the trouble of giving me one because I would have made them work right up to their closing time. Since this is a private business, that is their right, but left me with a tainted impression.
The employees have apparently been taught to use nail clippers to pull rapidly skin off around nails and, before I knew it, my skin around one of my big toe nails was bleeding. No apology, but a quick application of a liquid solution stopped the bleeding for the most part. Then, while using the scratchy patch, my person scraped the outside edge of my other foot. That really hurt. Again, no apologies, nothing.
As a result of the ripped skin and the dried blood around my nail, the polish would not keep smooth and could not be applied properly. Then, I was left with no further assistance at the drying counter, while another lady - apparently a repeat customer - was motioned when she was done.
I was charged the full price. No band-aid, no help. (While I understand that an apology would constitute an admission of guilt and therefore present a liability issue, certain processes could have been followed to make the customer feel better. People make mistakes, but at least, make your customers feel like you deserve their business. Talking to each other in front of (and about?) your customer in a foreign language does not help, either.)
It was close to 100F during that time and I work mostly outside, so completely protecting my wounds from dust and dirt was impossible. I wore band-aids and socks (way too hot for that) and the edge of my foot was constantly sore. And yes, I took photos of my injuries. You could not pay me to go back to that place. If there was an option to give zero stars, I would give none. This experience was horrible.

I had my nails done here the other day (the gal who did them the first time had no idea what she was doing or nails or anything) and had to go back the next day to have them fixed by the manager who made them worse. They have no idea what they are doing. They don't know what a stress point/apex is and their nails do not have one or the whole nail ends up being a stress point. I went to another place in town and paid $20 more to have them fixed properly and the people agreed that the set that Nail Trix did is absolutely horrible. They gave me clubbed nails and fan tips, neither of which I wanted. I would advise people to pay more and go to another salon that has certified, well trained nail techs. DO NOT GO HERE! Unless you want them to mess your nails up. If they had a no star I would put that, this is the worst salon in town and I've been to a few places over time.

I have been going to Nail Trix since 2006, I have had pedi's and nails done. Back when I first started going to them as it was convenient, they always were easy to get into, never had to have an appointment. Now that they are busy all the time it is best to call for an appointment, so I thought. HOWEVER, having an appointment does not matter! You will not get in at your time, AND the owner is the only one who schedule's appointments and she does not write them down! I have had too many times of having to wait 30+ minutes for my appointment when I arrive on time or early. I even made an appointment for a Saturday morning before the mall even opened, but Nail Trix was open. Because the owner (Joyce) did not write down my appointment, she made another appointment for two other people who seemed like they are always getting something done in there as she didn't even have to ask what their names where when they walked in after me. She scheduled me for 9:30 a.m. and when I walked in at 9:30 a.m. it looked like she had just gotten there as she still had her coat on, I told her I was there for my appointment at 9:30, she gave me a confused look and said she had me down for 9 a.m.. After arguing with her I walked out. She will never get my business again. When you are a business owner and you have a lot of business coming and going, YOU NEED AN APPOINTMENT BOOK! My assistant who was in the office with me when I made the appointment even heard me say back to her, "okay, so 9:30". This woman is a joke. She does not know how to properly run a business and customer service is not her number 1 priority! Do not give this woman business, if she does not personally know you, she will not give you the time of day! And when you walk in, if they are not sitting at one of the nail areas, you will be ignored!
