My grandmother has been staying at the Vosswood since being diagnosed with pnemonia. Several complaints! Now she is in the hospital. She is dehydrated, not nurished, low magnesium levels and was ignored by staff about her complaining of chest pain, until she called a family member who had to go and request she go to the hospital. Staff kept telling her she just has gas!! They only give patients one option at meal time. If you don't like it or can't swallow what they make then you don't eat! Meds are not given on time, as well as breathing treatments...sometimes skipped all together. Someone is going to die staying here!! Stay away!!

The facility is undergoing a major change in staffing. Currently there is NO social worker on staff and this position is being filled by the business office. This means do not expect any help with identifying and locating additional services for your loved one. Nursing staff is either being reduced or changed as well. Sometimes only one nurse per floor when there had been two. Medications are sometimes forgotten by staff and when questioned about this they respond "oh we are waiting to get more from the pharmacy". Had to give meds brought from home on more than one occasion. Pain meds were once given to wrong patient being discharged. They had a staff meeting one afternoon and for about 40 mins the only person on the floor was the housekeeper as ALL staff were in the meeting. What kind of idiot thought that was a good idea? What about a patient choking or falling? After being here for over 20 days with my wife I have witnesses two occasions where 911 was called by staff for patients on the orthopedic floor! I could go one but I am sure my post will be deleted or ignored.
