I agree. I was there in 2010. Was there 2 months. The PT & Occupational were over 100%, But only had a handful of nurses/aids. I hated it. The food was always bad (I lost 30 lbs). My roommate always needed help during the night & it would take up to 20 minutes to respond. I had $$$$ stolened and finally had to sit at their door to be reimbursted. They act like they care when you first arrive, then nothing. I saw nurses (males) teat other patients with no compasion. If they were in the way they would push their wheel chair hard, to go down the hall. Only time they seemed to care is when the "head honcho"s were touring. They need to follow up on this stuff. I almost called the regional person to complain.

I stayed at manor care fairfax for over a month. It was only of the worst times of my life. Some of the staff were wonderful. My physical and vocational therapists were amazing. Buuuut, the night crew was horrible and made life there hell. Not changing my roommates diaper so he sat in he own filth for hours. It smell awful and made us both miserable. When they did change him they would try to touch me without washing their hands. Discusting!Asking to get the pain meds that I was prescribed was like pulling teeth and I was made to feel like I was some kind of addict because I didn't want to lie there in pain. My mother found random syringes in the guest couch. They have nurse training and several of them couldn't perform simple tasks like giving shots. I should not have to explain to some kid not to flick to actual needle that your about to stick into my skin. Also one guy didn't even get the needle in my skin. He just squeezed the liquid onto me. NOT LYING!!!! DONT GO HERE!!!! I lost a lot of weight also because the meals were terrible and very small.

My husband was sent here for rehab after a stroke and was treated horribly. They left him alone and rarely answered his call button. They missed some of his meds and I had to make calls late at night and force them to do something about it. When I brought issues to the attention of the nurses, Director of Nursing, and Administrator, they lied to me and tried to make me think my husband was confused. But I had seen the bugs in his room, the horrible meals, and the lack of attention myself. They said I could call them whenever and they would help me but then never returned my phone calls. Thank God, the Dr was kind and wrote and order to transfer us out of there. Horrible! Do not leave your loved ones here!

Most of the people doesn't understand english. Billing statement has phone# to contact. The person who picks up the phone doesn't know english. Doesn't know how to convey the message to the right person. The person who handles the claims doesn't know where to file. Most of the time she files to wrong insurance. Several times I called and asked to file at the correct place, she ignored. and send the claim to Collection agency. It seems we all (Ins., manorcare and we) are going to end up in coart very soon.
