My close friend was at Hebert for about a year..the staff is pretty good..I must say though it did smell in there a few times. I really think they need more janitors/cleaning staff....I will say that things get stolen in there ALL THE TIME...I'm sure it's the cna workers or night shift workers..I can't tell you how many times I bought items and they were stolen and everyone is so dumb founded. That is the worst complaint I have. I don't know why the employees are not searched when they leave...It's really disgusting.

I'm surprised by the negativity of several of the anonymous posts. Hebert is where my 96 year old mother lives following a stroke one year ago. I chose the facility because of proximity to my home, where my mother had been also been living. The staff is very attentive and caring. It's clean and warmly decorated. Yes, of course I wish there were more private rooms, additional equipment, and more staff -- but they do a good job with very physically demanding patients. My mother is happy and well cared for. When I've had suggestions, staff has been willing to listen, and I've seen immediate results.

Yes, I had to wait forever.

Somewhat, they didn't want to listen to almost anything I said

Not at all, they only make time for their favorite clients

Absolutely not! I constantly have to repeat and re-explain my situation!

How can this place have a 4 star review. There have been so many disturbing things and it should be closed down. They have had a bed bug infestation, the air conditioning hasn't been working well, not enough staff, a whole weekend with no hot water, problems with sanitary drinking water, a nurse who was in trouble with the health department for abusing drugs, and the food is cheap and there is not enough of it. The place is dirty and often smells bad. The patients are afraid to speak up because no one listens to them. Why is the Health Department not fixing this place. Jobs are hard to find these days and people put up with a lot just to hang on to a job.

The staff and nurses took very good care of my grandfather during the last few weeks of his life. Could not of asked for a more compassionate, caring group of nurses.
