My mother went into the facility for rehab. During her stay, she became lethargic, unresponsive and depressed. Upon pressuring the staff to determine what rehab she was receiving; I discovered she was being over-medicated with medications she had never been prescribed prior. Many of the residents appeared "drugged". Upon further investigation, I found that my mother had been prescribed alzheimer medications, then anti-convulsants, muscle relaxers, sleeping pills and whatever else their staff physicians felt would counteract the effects of the unnecessary medications she had been given on a regular basis once she arrived. Despite my protests, every time my mom began deteriorating, I would find out that the doctor had again prescribed the same medications. My mother did not have alzheimers and was never diagnosed with it. The blessing in disguise was that my mother fell at the facility and I had her removed from there (the only way I could via rescue) and she received a complete med wash at the hospital. Unfortunately, these medications did cause problems that were irreversable and eventually resulted in brain damage. Despite the fact that our family was very vigilant with following up on her care and visited her daily, this reckless treatment of her continued while in their care. One can only wonder about the care of other residents/patients who have no one to watch over them.

The place was dirty and the visitors bathroom smelled bad. Part of the building is very old and dark and the floors were discolored. Their staff was not friendly, and didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. They didn't help me as much as I was hoping and didn't answer all my questions. Although the location is convenient I will not go back there. I felt like they were talking down to me. I just had a bad feeling about the place. The local news about them is bad too.

my mother attended this nursing home. I witnessed nurses get very upset when their patient would not take their meds and would force it in their mouths. The nurses were never kind and never kind to them. The place is dirty and very unorganized. I really think that this nursing home should close their doors.

It was easy to get the appointment time that worked for my schedule. I was a little disappointed at how helpful the staff was when I called with my questions and concerns. They definitely could have been more polite. I had to look for a long time before I finally found their qualifications. They need to make them more obvious. I couldn't believe how rude and inconsiderate they were. I showed up before their scheduled closing time and they said they were closing. They knew I needed help but they still decided to close early. They didn't give me advice that would benefit me at all. They only cared about what would make them the most money. They treated their staff inhumanly.

No, if they had music on it was very soothing

Yes, they were immaculate!
Did the staff make you feel uncomfortable when you called with questions or concerns?
Not at all! They were happy to address every concern I had
