MY FIRST PREGNANCY ENDED IN A 40 WEEK 3 DAY DEMISE!!! CHOOSE ANOTHER DOCTOR!!!
Here is the story:
Dr Robinson was a referral from a friend, with that being said I thought all would be well. I was completely wrong! I went to her because I was pregnant with my first child. On the first visit she performed an ultrasound on me and took some blood, ran test etc, everything seemed pretty routine. With that being said fast forward throughout the pregnancy she'd come asks if I had any problems, check for a heart beat, measure my stomach and that was that. I would spend more time waiting in the room for her than she would actually spend with me. She had too many patients and too many offices not on the same side of town for her own good. I can count having three ultrasounds all together; the first one to see if I was pregnant (first visit) ,one performed at the hospital to determine the sex of the baby, and last but not least the one she performed when I was 40weeks and 3 days when she could not find my babies heart beat. As my due date approached she'd inform me to only call her if my water broke or if I was contracted every 5 mins and she made it known not to call unless that. Therefore, on the day I went into labor I had an appointment scheduled; so, I waited to see her. I told her I was contracting every 10 mins she said "well you should've called earlier you could've had your baby by now!" She takes me into the room search for a heart beat and it could not be found. The way she delivered the information was and I quote " I cannot find a heart beat I do not know why sometimes these things happen." Long story short on the day that should have been the best day of my life turned out to be the worst. After my full term 5lb 6oz baby was delivered she told me the reason for the demise was due to the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck and his weight and this just happens sometimes, as for his weight that was perfectly normal. I was 40 weeks and 3 days nothing was normal with his weight and nothing was normal about a baby dying from a nuchal cord accident with today's technology! She suggested not to get an autopsy because it was merely and accident and she informed me at my one month check up that my placenta report was normal (I had to ask her for a copy she didn't volunteer this info) and if I've gotten pregnant again everything would be the exact same; I would not be high-risk patient. Well after not being satisfied with that answer we let another doctor handle our next pregnancy and found out my placenta was not functioning properly in that past pregnancy and my baby was not getting enough blood or oxygen which is why he was so little at full term and that he would have been mentally challenged if he'd lived. This could have all been determined if ultrasounds were being done in the first place, his weight was being tracked, and we now know My First baby died from lack of oxygen due to the placenta not the umbilical cord being wrapped around his neck. I would advise any woman to not go to Dr. Robinson, she is not professional!

Well....if you want to wait 30 minutes to an hour and a half for your appt when you have the early morning shift (literally when the office opens). This is the dr for you. If you want your personal business spread in the office from Dr. Robinson herself to her staff loudly, while other clients are waiting in the waiting area, this is the dr for you. There is no dr patient confidentiality not only when you tell your staff in front of strangers about how lazy and incompetent another one of your clients were. How disrespectful. All i have to say is glad it wasn't me and glad i am never going back to this doctor ever again. I hope someone reads this review and decides to go elsewhere.
