My children came down with terrible coughs, so bad they we struggling to get their breath, they also had fever 103. I called to have them seen right away, it was a Thursday, they didn't want to see them for 10 to 14 days. Over the weekend they got worse so I called again on Monday and demanded they see them. I took them in and was told they had allerigies due to the weather changing. The were put on Claritin and Ventolin inhalers. By Wednesday night they were vomiting from coughing so hard. I called AGAIN on Thursday and was told there was nothing else they could do for them and that I should take them to a hospital for chest xrays. I immediately took them to UPMC in Seneca where I was told that my oldest,5, has Bhronchitis and my youngest,2, has an ear infection and patchy Pneumonia. They were taken off the medicine prescribed by Hope and put on antibiotics. Thank goodness for the people at UPMC, I was furious with Hope for dismissing me as a parent in knowing that my children were really sick and in need of medical attention. They made me feel like I was overreacting, I knew they we worse than what they claimed and I am so glad I chose to get a second opinion. First thing this morning I called my insurance co. and switched doctors.
