Jackomis fraudulently withheld my 1st 3 treatments that he performed on me at his Potomac Falls Practice on 8-28-2002, 9-18-2002 and 10-2-2002, which was the beginning of his complete destruction of my oral health. (His prior website showed Jackomis Dental did not open his practice until 2003, but that was false. He held an open house for his new practice located in Potomac Falls in the Spring of 2002, at which time my husband attended along with several other potential new patients, and he subsequently treated several of us in 2002.) We also learned from several of his prior dental assistants that he used to tell them that he did not have a receptionist or an assistant for years; however, this too was false. (We recently discovered from his very first assistant that she left abruptly (less than a year), because she did not like the way he was treating his patients, since he was performing treatments w/out their permission & harming their oral health $$$.) Jackomis updated his website in June 2014 at which time he removed the year that his practice opened [2003], and he subsequently modified his website again a few months later to show his new picture of him wearing a white lab coat. Jackomis impulsively extracted several teeth without "informed consent" and x-rays, and he deliberately destroyed my 1 implant placed by another surgeon by placing a large dollop of cement without connecting it & then placed an open margin bridge over it that resulted in additional inflammation and swelling. (The treatments in 2002 that he fraudulently w/held included an impulse extraction of #29 tooth((w/out x-ray and informed consent)) and he also removed my crown on my #30 tooth w/out communicating and proceeded to puncture that tooth's nerve root ((unbeknownst to me that resulted in inflammation and infection and I recently learned this has resulted in residual heart problems). He also performed unnecessary root canals on other teeth that I was unaware of and he placed faulty crowns over decay, so I would have lost a lot more teeth had I not sought treatment with my Board-Certified Prosthodontist. Jackomis also egregiously underreported our dental fees by more than $20,000 $$$. Although Jackomis markets himself as a "Cosmetic" Dentist, he does not have the skills, and all of his crowns that he previously placed had to be re-done. You should also beware that he oversteps his professional boundaries by sending personal non-dental emails in an attempt to pretend he's your best-buddy, e.g., info pertaining to conservative politics and/or an occasional joke, and he does this almost immediately after meeting his new patients in order to "cloud their judgment."

Dr. Jackomis was completely dishonest, do not fall for the superficial charm, he is a dentist without a conscience. Most important, do not participate in his pity play. We all need to question our tendency to pity too easily. Respect should be reserved for the kind and the morally courageous. Pity is another socially valuable response, and it should be reserved for innocent people who are in genuine pain or who have fallen on misfortune. However, if you find yourself pitying someone who you know is unethically harming other patients, and who actively campaigns for your sympathy and loyal support (such as a "team player:) the chances are close to 100 percent that you are dealing with a sociopath. Most important, if by chance their ever caught, the loyal sympathetic "team player" we also be exposed.

I would not recommend whatsoever. Rick Jackomis was deceptive in his so-called communication, and he performed multiple unnecessary faulty dental treatments. He also extracted all of my 2nd molars without x-rays and informed consent that resulted in Major Bone loss to my lower jaw area, and I did not have any ability to chew my foods from 9-2003 until June 2013, which is when my Board-Certified Prosthodontist restored my entire oral health. I also had to seek treatment from my Board-Certified Periodontist to place 9 implants with grafs due to the significant bone loss, and my B/C Prosthodontist completely restored my oral health afterwards as of June 2013. Total fees charged by my two highly skilled Dental Specialists was $54,000l; however, Jackomis charged us over $60,000 which included extraction of 9 teeth, and a total destruction of my oral health. Jackomis also performed multiple unnecessary root canals that I was unaware in which some were faulty and resulted in significant bacterial infections unbeknownst to me throughout my 10 years of treatment, and I recently discovered these infections were causing permanent damages to my heart health. I am blessed that these bacterial infections that flooded my blood stream did not spread to my brain or cause a massive cardiac arrest. Jackomis also deliberately destroyed my 1 implant placed in Feb 2009 by placing a dollop-of-glue on the implant without connecting it and he then placed an open margin FPD that resulted in additional inflammation (pus-infection) and more bone loss. The implant is no longer functioning as an implant. Yes, Jackomis was superficially charming and fooled us for years in thinking he really cared about his patient's dental care, and when we arrived for treatments he would always greet us with hugs, and he would also send us personal emails late at night that primarily related to conservative politics and sign-off as "RICK." Unfortunately we realize now that we were completely duped and that his only motivation was financial rewards to his dental practice without any concerns that he was completely destroying a patient's oral health. Although one of his former employees posted a review that stated she did not know how he slept at night, however, we we can surely answer that now by stating he sleeps sound at night, because this type of behavior is consistent with someone who is without any conscience, lacks any empathy as well as integrity.

Without a doubt, Dr. Jackomis is in a class of his own when it comes to dentistry. This guy is simply incredible. I am one of I'm sure millions of people who do not enjoy the experience of going to the dentist office, but Dr. Jackomis has some how managed to make it a comfortable, pain free, border line enjoyable, experience. I was suffering from excruciating tooth pain at 7:30 pm last Thursday evening, and I called Dr. Jackomis emergency line and left a message. He called back in 20 minutes, met me at his office at 8:30 pm, and took care of my problem so I would be able to get some sleep. Then, to top it all off, he refused to charge me because I've been a patient (not a very good one at times I'll admit) for a long time. He has some how mastered how to make serious dental work like root canals pain free and keeps the patient comfortable at ALL times. Simply amazing. Just a great great guy all around.
