Wow! I never thought a Dentist so caring and Talented could be judged so wrongly by someone who obviously never talked to him about there concerns before slamming him... I am not related to Dr Sachs in anyway but as a patient who has benefited from his Talent and found his ethics so above board I have sent others to him, I would like to tell you what i have experienced. My brother who suffers from health problems was visiting and had a tooth problem I called Dr Sachs and not only did he see my brother at night, but he took the time to improve his smile by doing some cosmetic work knowing my brother did not have the money and did not ask him to pay for it. As far as the person being told they did not have cavities, many dentist do not have the best equipment my cousin was told he did not have cavities and two months later he had an abscess tooth he went to another dentist and that dentist saw 3 cavities and my cousin was upset that he had not gone to a more advanced dentist to start with. The 8 years i have gone to Dr Sachs I have always been more than satisfied, but judge for yourself, If you give him a try his Talent and caring personality will speak for itself.

I have taken my daughter to many different Dentist (including Pediatric Dentist) and she has kicked, screamed and never made it through the appointment. It wasn't until coming to Dr. Sachs office that we have been able to complete an exam, x-rays and fillings filled without having 3 of us holding her down. I am grateful to have a Dentist that understands children and makes them feel comfortable and relaxed!

Thanks Dr. Sachs!!

I had a really bad experience with a Dentist and I did not see any Dentist for several years. Since, walking into Dr. Sachs office I have felt RELAXED, COMFORTABLE AND CONFIDENT with his Dental care, I event drive over 40 min. to get to his office and have for over 5 years!

His staff has always been able to resolve any insurance issue, and work with my financial needs. I feel that Dr. Sachs has helped me over come my fear in DENTISTRY, and I would highly recommend him to anyone!

These guys are SUCH A SCAM!!!! I've been great at going to a dentist my whole life, but in the last year my dental insurance has changed three times and unfortunately had to find a new dentist. The last time I had a cleaning/exam was April '09... I had a baby March '10 and so it's been 3 months since her birth. Pregnancy does a great toll on your body - but Especially Your Teeth! So with that in mind, when I had sudden pain in a specific tooth I dropped everything and searched for a new dentist that would accept my insurance. Sachs Family Dental showed up when I google'd "best dentist in orem, UT" or whatever... anyway....

Call, make an appointment - they could get me in Right Away - which kind of surprised me how easy it was to get in. Good dentists are very busy, booked out for months. However, if you have specific tooth pain, they can get you in fairly quickly b/c it's more of an emergency. But they could get in me in like... so easily, with tons of options for appointment times.

So I go in the next day. The place is absolutely empty. Nice facility. No one is at the counter - so I just stand there for like 10 minutes. really. Finally this older guy helps me out - clearly has no idea what he's doing (later find out it's the Dentist - Dr? Sach). Finally a receptionist comes and helps.

I get called back within ten minutes - nice. They take an Xray. Ask how I'm doing "I'm nervous, b/c I have tooth pain and it's been a year since I've seen a dentist - and I've had a pregnancy since then, etc etc". The dentist comes in... I can't see him b/c I'm laying in the chair. But he sits behind me looking at the Xray and he asks "How are you today?" I say I'm nervous... and then he just says "Yep, you need a root canal. And you have decay on the two teeth next to that one. I can't tell right now but you may need root canals on those teeth too." I then turn around to look at what he's telling me, to look at him. And I ask if he's kidding me!?! Anyway... he's not kidding.

I could go on FOREVER how this guy seemed shady and I didn't believe him, etc. And how his assistant felt it was needed to spend 5 minutes explaining to me that he's a good dentist and really cares about people's health/teeth, etc etc - blah blah.

I go in for a root canal two days later. Not impressed again - but at least it wasn't painful, he did a good job? They were kind to offer pain relievers, etc - maybe that's routine? I've never had a root canal before - so I'm not sure.

I didn't make an appt for the crown. They gave me a break down of all the other visits I'd have with them - like it was nothing - they pull out this 10 visits plan - like they're going to do TWO MORE root canals, etc.

I went to a different dentist today - Springville Dentistry. They did a full exam - all the Xrays - and the dentist looked hard at those Xrays and with complete confidence said I have zero decay and absolutely no need for even a small filling on the two teeth this Sachs dentist guy was going to do on my mouth. Seriously. I really wish I had gotten a second opinion before they did that root canal. At least this new place will be doing my crown and Sach's won't get anymore of my money!!!!!!!!!

If you go to this dentist - ask for a second opinion before he does anything 'major'. Don't go to this dentist though. If I could - if my insurance covered it - I'd still be going to Eric Vogel in Provo - He Is The Best Dentist Ever (but their waiting room time sucks). But I also LOVe, love, love this new dentist that a co-worker recommended to me - Springville dentistry - I saw Kyle Marshall - awesome dentist. Definitely I recommend them. They're crazy busy - you have to book appointments 2 months out - but if you get on their waiting list they can get you in when there is a cancellation - which is within a week anyway.

Whew!
