Horrible experience at this place. They were all nice and good until I had an issue with the insurance coverage for a couple of months, when I changed the insurance carrier. My kids had some routine preventative care done during that time and they charged me about three times of what they would have otherwise charged the insurance company, just because I am a private citizen and does not have the muscle power of an insurance company. The bill came to $500+ and when I called, they were not willing to adjust even a single cent, instead they threatened that they would ruin my credit by sending to a collection agency. Never again !

I absolutely love the Dentists of Newtown. The staff at the front desk is exceptionally nice and they try to accomodate you however they can. Making appointments is very easy and the call to confirm your appointments so you don't forget. After every visit, Dr. Armour calls to check on me the next day. They are extremely thorough and take the time to explain everything to you. The office is very comfortable and clean. Both my husband and I have a fear of dental work, and they have helped to make us very relaxed and confident during all procedures. I would recommend anyone to use this practice, I can not think of any negatives!

If you need a teeth cleaning, filling, Crown, Root Canal, Wisdom teeth pulled, Implant, Gum Surgery or an Orthodontist, look no further! This office is awesome, with every dentist and dental specialist you could need, all in one location. The office is beautiful and everyone was so friendly, from the first phone call to every single appointment I have ever had there. And I have been going to this office for over ten years! They are courteous, kind, patient when I have questions and they take my insurance. They calculate how much the insurance will pay for every visit and I only have to pay my portion of the costs. They wait for Cigna to pay the rest! I will NEVER go anywhere else.

He/she would never do that! Their full attention is always on me.

Absolutely! They explained everything in detail and made sure I understood before my procedure

I love the front office staff here and my dental hygenist did a great job with my routine cleaning. My "exam" however consisted of the doctor entering the room, probing at my teeth a few times, and checking one tooth the hygenist pointed out to her. She mumbled something about 2 units to the hygenist which I assume was what I was to be charged then left the room. I am a firm believer that an exam also includes the doctor reporting their findings to the patient. I likely will not return after this experience, which is a shame, because everyone in the office is very nice. However for $187 for a routine visit, I expected better care!

Had the worst experience ever in a doctor's office!! I am very conscientious about my teeth. I go every 3 months for a teeth cleaning and had periodontal work in the office back in Nov. When I had my teeth cleaning 3 months ago, they wanted me to have an exam as well. I asked if this would be covered by my dental insurance and she said no because I had just had periodontal work done and insurance considered that an exam. Today I went in for a cleaning but had to get home quickly for a repair appointment at my house. I told the hygienist I would reschedule my exam for another time. She left the room and the dentist returned and told me he didn't care whether my insurance would cover it or not because the health of my teeth was more important and that they would not continue to treat me if I refuse to have a dental exam! He was extremely rude and tried to bully me into having this service. I left the office quite embarrassed and upset. This office looks to do as many procedures as possible, many I believe to be unnecessary, referring to specialists that just happen to work in the same office! Will never return!!!
