I feel like my appointment was pointless. I left with more problems than I came in with and I think I'd rather have all of my teeth knocked out than to go back, even if this was the last dentist in Missouri.

It's shocking how little they seem to care about customer service. From my experience It appears as if customers are never put first here. The staff is incredibly rude and seem to care more about themselves. I had to wait quite a while for my appointment. I was very disappointed.

I dealt with Jefferson County Dental for a few months as I got some important dental work done but, similar to what a previous review mentioned, I was told I would be charged the $45 sterilization fee. I contacted my insurance, DeltaCare, and was told that I could not be charged for a sterilization fee. JeffCo Dental insisted but claimed they would contact my insurance and figure it out. They did not do this but, instead, continued to try to charge me for this. I kept questioning them and, along with growing ruder, they lied and told me at my last visit that they were dropping my insurance carrier, basically "goodbye don't come back." I won't, not just because of the money conflict but because they also filled the wrong cavity at the last visit, likely from viewing an xray upside down and then refusing to correct the initial assessment (the tooth that needed to be filled is the same tooth but on the bottom rather than top jaw), and now the tooth that did need work is having issues. Thanks for nothing.

My family has belonged to a dental plan for several years and gone to the Jefferson County Dental clinic, recently with Dr. Steven Cajigal. Spring of 2011 I went there because I was having discomfort in my jaw after having had a crown placed on the top and one on the bottom. When I checked out, I was charged $45, which I thought was high based on what we had paid previously for routine visits including cleaning. I questioned the charge and was told that there was no charge for the adjustments on the crowns, but the $45 was a sterilization fee. Since it was a new fee they said they would credit my account, but in the future this $45 would be charged at every visit and was not covered under the dental plan.

A coupld of months later my husband went and was advised of the $45 sterilization fee but also told it would be forgiven for that visit.

Around that same time I went for my routine visit and was told that the $45 credit would be applied at that visit.

We questioned if this fee was appropriate with our dental plan and received a response that they had contacted Jefferson County Dental and were told that they charge a $10 sterilization fee. My family will not be returning to Jefferson County Dental.

We will be going to a new dentist, under our plan, who follows the plan fee schedule and does not charge an additional sterilization fee. And hopefully he will be able to relieve the discomfort in my jaw.
