First off, I would like to say I've been taking my child to this practice since she was an infant. My child is now 8 years old.Recently, the wait has been ridiculously LONG!! About 45 min in the waiting room and then another 30 min -1hr wait after being called into the exam room (you do the math). Don't get me wrong, the doctors here has great credentials to back them up (if you've done some extensive research like me, you would know). But lately it seems like their attentiveness and service as pediatric doctors are going down hill. My child used to see Dr. Shah, but after a few visits, I've notice her lack of attentiveness and the rushing of our visit (so she can get to the next child I assume $$$). The incident that made me upset enough to write this review was when Dr. Shah, whom was already in our exam room ready to see my child (after the 2hrs wait time), WALKED OUT in the middle of my child's appointment to take a PERSONAL PHONE CALL!! Which was just outside of the exam room, and I heard every little bit of her conversation, she was chatting away and laughing in her conversation which obviously had nothing related to her patients or medical practice. This behavior is so unacceptable, and unprofessional in any professional practice. So we changed to Dr. May, who shares the same practice, she is more attentive and who seem to cared more about my child's well or sick visit. But I had it with them with my last visit. We had appointment with Dr. May, we came into the office, the typical routine; signed in, greeted and everything. The front staff receptionist was well aware of us being there and they FORGOT about us!!! They were getting ready to close the office!!! I could not believe it! Not to mention we sat in the sick waiting room for over 1HOUR...right across from the front desk where we were pretty VISIBLE from where the receptionist sat. (goes to show how professional and how highly trained their staffs are). After they realized they had skipped us and had seen patients who came in AFTER us, they tried to rush us in the exam room and appoint Dr.Shah, who I was unhappy to begin with, and they had told me it was TOO LATE for Dr.May to see my child! When we had an appointment with Dr. May and only Dr.May??? Not to mention Dr. May was still in the office because I saw her walked by the front desk area..It was not our fault and my child was SICK!! I got so upset how they would treat their patient like that after so many years...and this was a CHILD who needed care! They did apologize but it does not make up for their unbelievable mistake. So I left the office and took my sick child to Gwinnett Clinic down the road so I can have a caring, attentive, and a professional provider to treat my sick child. I refuse to take my child back there again. So yes, the first initial visit or two seems great, but like I've said if you are a long time patient with Shah Pediatrics and had stick to them as long as we did you then will see how their service fluctuate, from a 5 star to a 1. Most importantly, be caution of who and where you bring your child to, to seek great care..if you have a gutsy feeling that they are not professional or not giving your child the utmost care then find another reputable pediatric. Many may not agree, but this is a review from an actual patient who wants to share the experience that we have encountered at this particular practice. I hope this review can also save others time and frustration who are considering to choose this practice to care for your child. BECAUSE EVERY CHILD DESERVES GOOD CARE....
