Police: Man threw hot coffee at clerk

LEOMINSTER -- A 40-year-old man was so enraged after receiving his order at McDonald's on North Main Street that he threw his hot coffee through the drive-thru window at the clerk Sunday morning, according to Leominster District Court records.

Matthew H. Delisle, 155 Hall St., was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct.

Delisle was refunded his money after berating the clerk for the wrong order.

He threw his coffee at the building and drove off but stopped to pick up the coffee before backing up to the drive-through window and throwing it at the clerk, court documents said.

He was arraigned Monday and released on the promise he return for his next court date June 28.

Police found Delisle at his home.
