After years I no longer recommend this business. There is absolutely no care, options or any hope after writing prescriptions for pain killers.

Horrible experience with them both!!!

Pain pump not needed, when Bien did surgery on my husband, he never took any exrays and he ram that drip needle up pass C/3, which all doctors know you do not do!!! The reason he had to ram it is because my husband had 5 dislocated disk, which cause his head to hang... it was legally broken. He did not need a pain pump but surgery!!

They gave him soooo much morphine it caused all his organs to swell, he could not wear shoes.. he had lleasons on the bottom of his feet! Liver, prostate, saliva glands, heart... all swollen do to morphaine overdose... and he was still in pain again, because he needed surgery and the Biens said he's ok!!

Called 911 5 times because he was so out of it and when Shelia arrived all she would do is turn down the drip, only to turn it back up at the next office visits!! This went on for 2 plus years!
He kept telling them he was still in pain, so they overdosed him!

Bien had rude moments!... yes!!

They saw how his head was hanging and watched it slowing hang after 3-4 yrs of seeing him... and they did not get it!!

We asked to have it removed... story to that too... and once they started slowly removing the morphine from his body... all his organs when back to normal size... the bottom of his feet healed and he was able to wear shoes again!! When we asked Bien why this was happening, he referred us to a heart doctor, liver doctor plus!... they are the ones who said it was the morphine, tell that doctor to turn it down. Bien and Shelia did not like that answer!

They left the drip needle in him tho, and you think they would of said something... not!!

We found out when we were referred to UCLA medical center, at the airport while being scanned it set off the alarm!

He lost his job... the section that doctors fill out for disability said he needed this pain pump for life!

Bien never came out after he inserted the pump to let me know how surgery went like he said he would and I waited so patiently for him.. but the assistance did and he looked shocked... said Bien would be right out to talk with me and he did not!!!!
When he removed it, he did come out then to let me know it was gone!

Yes they were nice and at times not nice at all once we started questioning what they did and how our daddy was looking... they kept making excuses!

Do not let them cut you!!

For drugs and pain, well we have other pain managements doctors who can do the same!!

I read the "Dora" review and had to respond. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????Dr Bien and Shiela work long hours take problem patients and take care of pumps other Drs won't BECAUSE those Drs can't make money . Drs and nurses spend 100s of thousands of dollars to become Des and pay every year for more cutting edge training . Expensive cars? They have the right to treat themselves with whatever they want . Who are you to question their lifestyle? Go to Kurdistan, Sudan and then have a reason to be happy . Stop being petty

Dr. Bien & his wife, Sheila, are in this field of medicine only for the money, bilking insurances & Medicare to pay for his & wife's multiple, expensive vehicles. Sheila has been overheard complaining that she was not making enough money for specific patients. Dr. Bien performs inappropriate procedures, such as implanting pain pumps for stomach pain, but the Medtronic Website specifies that the pump is NOT for stomach pain, resulting in irreparably damaging patients' spinal cords. He & wife do not listen to or address patients' concerns. They cause pain, not manage it.
