All the time! the waiting rooms are always packed and It seems as if they are more concerned about quantity over quality

I have been a patient of Dr. Salvato's for almost a year now. I have had multiple visits to the office and in total spent about 10 minutes with the Dr. I was willing to feel overlooked if the treatment plan was working but have recently decided to find a new doctor due to the unprofessional treatment by the office as a whole. As part of my fibromyalgia treatment I was prescribed a medication to help ease insomnia and was on this medication for over a year before I started seeing Dr. Salvato. When I began seeing her she required me to request a new prescription every month rather than writing a 12 month prescription as is the norm. When I most recently went to fill the prescription before leaving for a 6 week trip for work, I was only able to get a 2 week supply and told I needed to call in. When I finally was able to get in touch with the office (after a week) I was told that I needed to schedule a visit with the Dr, and it is their policy not to fill any prescription requests unless the patient has been seen within the last 90 days (I last was in 3 months ago). I had no way of getting in to see the doctor in the next week before I would run out of the medicine and was told no exceptions would be made. I asked to speak directly to the Dr., and was told she DOES NOT speak to patients on the phone (WHAT?!) I expressed my concern to the nurse about stopping this medicine cold as it can cause withdrawal symptoms, and was told coldly to take tylenol PM. As someone in the medical field- I am completely alarmed by the unprofessionalism and lack of care of this office. I would not recommend!

Dr. Salvato always goes above and beyond to help me with anything I need. I know I can always count on her. I've been other places that left me unattended for quite awhile, but not here. I know for a fact that they have lots of business, but I've never had to wait a long time in a crowded waiting room like other places I've been. I never had to doubt their qualifications. They made their credentials completely obvious. Dr. Salvato thinks outside the box and was the only doctor, out of many, who properly dx'd me and offered treatment. What a relief to know I wasn't crazy once I got my diagnosis via lab work she had ordered, as well as history. Dr. Salvato is the last hope for many pts who have just about given up hope of ever being properly diagnosed. I have been to many, many doctors and she definitely stands apart. I can't locate another doctor that will treat or even test for rare diseases/conditions. I would say Dr. Salvato is right 'up there' with infectious disease doctors, and probably more experienced than some of them. A staff member of a Methodist Hospital dr told me today that the doctor she works for has referred to Dr. Salvato. I wasn't surprised to hear that! She also takes time explaining the details of your condition and the treatment plan. Very personable too.

No, They definitely believe in quality over quantity and allow more than enough time in between appointments
