Dr Watkins earned his medical degree from Wake Forest University’s Bowman Gray Center for Medical Education in Salem-Winston, North Carolina. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Dr Watkins went on to complete an Ear, Nose and Throat Internship and Residency at the National Naval Medical Center (now Walter Reed National Military Medical Center) in Bethesda, Maryland. While there, he was awarded the distinguished Ruska Award for research involving electron microscopy.Board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, Dr Watkins is a proud member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.
