Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: Pursuing a career in social work was a natural calling for me. I was very intuitive as a young child and was aware that suffering existed. I wanted to help people and make the world a better place. The social work core values of service are directly in line with my world view. Everyone deserves to be respected and heard. Being a social worker allows me the opportunity to advocate, empower, motivate and encourage resilience in others and to help them cultivate their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. What I want my patients to know about me: I have been practicing in the social work field since 1992. I have worked in a variety of settings.
