Bill Jacobsen

Bill Jacobsen, MD, is a neurologist in the Gregory W. Fulton ALS and Neuromuscular Disease Center and an assistant professor in the Department of Neurology. He is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Jacobsen’s expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), spinal muscular atrophy, and muscular dystrophy. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and the Peripheral Nerve Society.

Dr. Jacobsen earned his medical degree from the Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha. He completed his neurology residency and a fellowship in ALS and neuromuscular diseases at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix.

Dr. Jacobsen’s research interests include novel treatments for ALS and muscular dystrophy and the use of artificial intelligence for the diagnosis and prognosis of ALS.
