I attended Prenatal Yoga with Ann from the beginning of my second trimester of pregnancy. I had a difficult first pregnancy and labor ending with a c-section and Ann helped me to let go of a lot of negative associations I had been holding onto related to labor and birth. This pregnancy was totally different for me and a lot of that had to do with Ann's guidance, support, and yoga instruction. I enjoyed my pregnancy more, felt better both physically and mentally, and had an absolutely amazing natural VBAC experience with my second child. My husband and I did a private session with Ann a week before our baby was born and it helped us tremendously during labor. He was incredibly supportive and I was able to stay in the moment and take each contraction as it came, which was so different from my first labor. The tools that Ann provided both of us with were indispensable! Ann also went out of her way to provide additional readings and information to support my natural birth wishes. Thank you so much Ann for everything....our baby was born with no interventions, totally natural....I did it! I cannot thank you enough for all your guidance and tools in the Prenatal Yoga class and our private "Preparing for Labor & Birth". I really feel like yoga helped me to be in the zone and really helped Ben and I work together. He was so helpful and we were a great team!~ Roxanne

I have a chronic autoimmune illness and limited mobility- I was an active yoga student pre-illness and thought I would never be able to participate again- through private sessions with Ann, I have regained some lost flexibility and gained movement in my wrist and ankle joints. Ann is a patient, skilled, gentle, and creative teacher. Her knowledge of anatomy gives her the ability to help the student go deeper into a pose and open up those blocked and tight muscles and joints. She isn't afraid to think outside the box and uses a multitude of props (and even the rope wall) to help set up poses I thought were impossible given my limitations. To feel my body in downward facing dog again brought so much joy and a hope that I can still practice yoga! She is also helping me learn how to modify each pose so that I can attend regular classes in any studio- Working slowly and deeply has profound effects on the student and I highly encourage any one who is on the fence or thinks they aren't able to do yoga any more due to physical limitations to reach out to Ann. She is an incredibly gifted teacher.
