I was double charged for the services: paid cash for the visit and my insurance paid it at 100%. Asked for a refund, but did't get. I wouldn't trust this doctor or his office.

Was visiting my brother in Alaska and got a crick in my neck. So I looked around and found Dr. Lizer. I regularly see a Chiropractor and knew this had to be addressed or my vacation was going to be painful. So I spoke to the receptionist at length who was very sweet. She told us all about where to go while in Alaska...the works. Also, it was a Saturday and they saw me right away. She also gave me great comfort and said my insurance would cover everything and not to worry. If not then we'd receive a bill. They never even told me the amount. The vibe was...it's all good...no worries.

So a few weeks ago I got a bill for $285.00!!! We tried to negotiate a lower price but were only threatened with being turned into collections. This is bad business if you ask me. There's nothing we could do except not pay them or file a law suit or something. We have more decency than to do that. I'd of paid cash at the time, but was talked out it of by their staff. Let this be a word of caution (especially if you're visiting from out of town). All I got was an adjustment and worked over by an air powered device. In all, it took 40 minutes and there were no x-rays. $285.00!? Even at Alaska prices this seems totally unreasonable. Next time I'll just go to the emergency room.
