Training Dr. Scott is a graduate of the Roth-Williams Advanced Course in Orthdontics. He indicates this is considered to be one of the finest orthodontic philosophys in the world. This philosophy involves not just treating the teeth for an attractive smile, but also correction of the bite which ensures that TMJ joints and muscles of the chewing system and all in harmony. Dr. Scott himself has presented cases at the Roth-Williams Institute in San Francisco. In addition, Dr. Scott has completed numerous hours of other orthodontic related continuing education courses, putting him on the leading edge in his field of orthodontics.

Office Staff The staff members in Dr. Scott's office have a combined total of orthodontic experience of over 200 years. Many of them have been on his staff for over 15 years. Their goal is to make all patients feel welcome and at home while providing courteous, efficient, and excellent patient service and treatment. Attending continuing education courses routinely helps to stay up to date on the state of the art orthodontic procedures of Dr, Scott's office. The clinical staff are all AOAC team certified.
Services Dr. Scott's office offers comprehensive orthodontic treatment for children and adults. He recommends that all children be seen by age 7 for an initial exam. He indicates that timely and vigilent screening can help anticipate any future treatment. Once ready for treatment, full digital diagnostic records are completed for a full evaluation. Dr. Scott then provides a consultation, presenting his findings and discussing all aspects of treatment with the patient and/or parent. One in five orthodontic patients is an adult. Dr. Scott feels that undergoing treatment as an adult can improve the overall health of the teeth, gums and jaw joints as well as restore proper function.

Issues with regard to temporomandibular joint problems are also addressed in Dr. Scott's office. Facial pain, headaches and neck pain are often traced to TMJ dysfunction. With different elite diagnostics, he determines if he can help. If so, he then fabricates a removable appliance (splint) which is adjusted as needed to reduce painful symptoms and stabilize the entire system.
