At this time last year I was still at Ranch Creek Recovery. Today I am 5 days from being 13 months clean and sober. My life today is beyond my wildest dreams. I never thought I would ever get out of the grip of drugs and alcohol. I thought I was destined to die miserably. I had been in many treatment programs and at RCR they cared and focussed on everyone as individuals not just a group of people. The staff and everything about this program is amazing.

I have to say that I was very surprised to read an unfavorable review of RCR. My stay there was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I credit them with saving my life! Besides the obvious....the place is absolutely beautiful, I was treated like a member of the family! They cared enough to get to know me and the reason why I needed to be in a recovery center. My family came to visit me often and the RCR staff helped with healing my entire family. They taught me that I needed to take responsibility for my actions and they held me accountable for my decisions. My family was so proud of me for being open enough to listen to their guidance. I participated, I relaxed, I opened up, I slept, by the way in one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in, and I embraced the new opportunity to be sober. RCR was just what I needed to get my life back, and they did it in a place that I would love to go to for a vacation!!! I guess what I wanted to say is that with any place you go to for treatment of an addiction, you will only get out what you are willing to put in. The reason that I am staying sober is because RCR cared! If they seemed "unfriendly", maybe they were trying to get you to see that your addiction was an ugly thing. To me, they were firm when they needed to be, but loving, caring and supportive constantly. And by the way, they do have ramps and walkways for handicapped people. Both me and my family would strongly recommend RCR to anyone who needs to get sober. Or maybe I should say, who WANT to get sober!
