I was there for my mother and was told to bring all her meds in since she was having surgery. From my understanding if they had to use in house meds Medicare won't cover it. When it came time for meds, they would not give her meds as prescribed and at the right times. For instance when she got around to giving her water pill, I asked if she was getting her potassium pill with it? ( since the water pill is a potassium wasting diuretic) She told me she doesn't need it then told me she had it earlier. I asked for her to show me when she took it today? Oops Nurse found out she didn't have it today. Which I knew since I've been there for the past 18 hours non-stop.Nurse was giving meds hours past time. Her breathing became labored and her O2 sat. was dropping to 86-87% I brought this to the attention of the nurse and asked her to give her advair ( that I was told she was going to give her 2 hours prior, but didn't get around to it) she then got an attitude and took the vitals machine and unhooked it so we couldn't track it. Then tried to make excuses why the machine must be wrong. Well when your lips are changing colors and she is complaining that she can't breath while struggling to speak is a good indication there is a problem. She finally got her med and was told she would take her vitals in an hour. Well 3 hours later while she is handing off her patient to the new nurse, she said that the nurse coming on will do it. Guess what the new nurse took her vitals and her O2 was low still and took care of her and got her what she needed and got her back up to 91%! What a difference between the quality from one nurse to the next! Then a wonderful CNA came in and bathed my mom because she had urine all the way to her socks soaked because the other CNA didn't change her last shift. Then when respitory asked about her 02 being that low, it was never charted in her computer. All the vitals prior was but not the ones when her O2 dropped. I told them the time and surprise nothing on record just the advair was given. It's really hit or miss with the care you receive, so unless you like gambling with your life this is your place.

I had a problem due to a very stressful situation. My blood pressure was sky high and even after double my meds i could not get it to go down. I called to see my cardiologist. They wouldn't let me see him. They wouldn't have him call me. He is my doctor. This caused me even more stress. I had my daughter call soon after that on the same day. I was so stressed I couldn't talk anymore to the very very rude nurse. She asked for the manager who also was rude to her. I have not seen my doctor since. And I won't. Although I believe my doctor to be a fantastic doctor, his staff has little to be desired and because of them I WILL NOT GO Back!!! EVER! I will find a new Cardiologist because of their horrible staff.
