The environment at Kindred is friendly, helpful, and compassionate. There are many staff members that my family and I like it call "shining stars". The reason we call them "shining stars" is because caring, compassionate, selfless, and giving. They go out of their way to make us feel comfortable during our stay here. No matter how big or small the request, question, or concern is they address it willing with an open heart and mind. They are Tiffany, Patient Rep, Janet, unit secretary, Aretha, Tess, LVN, Vilma, CNA, Evelyn, CNA, Netta, CNA, Gabriel, CNA, Adam, PT, Lloyd, PT, Lana, OT, and all of the rehab department are exceptional. The physicians are great especially Dr. Weinraub, Dr. Kennedy, Dr. Winters, Dr. Grabie, Dr. Leitner, Dr. Deustch, Dr. Meltzer, Dr. Johnson, and Dr. Carol. They are very knowledgeable and informative. Kindred has the best free coffee. No matter what time of the day it is delicious! This our 3rd hospital, and Adam and Lana are the best by far!!! I don't have right words to express how wonderful they are from all angles. Their approach, technique, and skills set is unbelievable!!! They are the reason my daughter will be returning home instead of acute rehab. We are beyond thankful for the care my daughter has received.

Let's just say that I feel communication is one of the key components in healthcare, and I was impressed right away with Kindred. Upon admission of my mother, my brother was present, and met with everyone. I mean he received a update from the nurses, respiratory therapist, and patient representative. He received all of this valuable information which helped him have a better understanding of our mother's treatment plan and condition. My brother called and updated me. We both agreed that Kindred was the perfect place for our mother. Later that day, I came to visit my mother, and was surprised that the respiratory therapist, Steven, explained everything to me without me asking. He made sure I understood the plan, and answered my questions appropriately. Then, Tiffany (the patient relations representative) met with me. She spent over a hour with me explaining everything from discharge planning, free coffee, contact information (including directors, administration, and physicians), wound care, pressure ulcer prevention, vital signs, recent labs, to dietary. She answered and addressed any questions and concerns I had before I had a chance to even ask them. By the time I left her office, I knew everything I needed to know and more. Then, she introduced me to my mother's physician, Dr. Hourani, and he discussed the treatment plan with my brother and me. He was very helpful as well, and has great bedside manners. We love Kindred, and the way the staff care for our mother. We are very thankful that our mother is here because we know she is getting the best care!!!
