..Dr. Kong recommended x rays and lab work to see if my 13 year old Boston Terrier heart is bad do to a murmur. His symptoms are complex but the most distressful is his difficulty taking a breath. I didn't want the workup and just wanted something to help him breathe. He gave me meds (antibiotics and antihistamines) that didn't help. I brought him back in after 10 days to see Dr. Bang, who has seen my dog since he was 8 weeks old. Dr. Bang read the notes and would not give me anything to help him breathe easier. He kept stressing the heart workup and I felt he was more concerned with what his colleague wrote than he was about helping my dog. He did say that I could get over the counter meds .....I tried 'mucilex' and my dog seems to be improving ever so slightly. I'm very disappointed in 'Gentle Care' clinic for not providing care to help my dog breathe easier at this stage of his life. I just want to comfort him and make life a little easier through his passing.
