Periodontal Surgery

Evelina Tolchinsky, DDS, DDS

In acute cases of gum disease, inflammation and deep pockets may remain after scaling and root planing treatments. Should this occur, Dr. Tolchinsky and Dr. Trogan may recommend periodontal surgery to our patients. This will allow our patients to keep teeth that may otherwise be lost if left untreated. There are several different types of periodontal surgery, including pocket reduction surgery, bone grafts, soft tissue grafts, guided tissue regeneration, and bone surgery. Each one treats different complications associated with gum disease.
