This was the absolute WORST experience of my LIFE as it relates to hair care. I was new to this salon, however a stylist was highly recommended. I went in prior to speak with the stylist as well as book my appointment and she was pleasant. HOWEVER... on the day of my appointment I arrived 30 mins early, good right? WRONG! I arrived, the salon was full, which was understandable, however I was not greeted by any of the "professionals". The stylist had someone else in her chair... however 30 mins go by and now it is time for my appointment... I was still not acknowledged by the staff. 40 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment, the stylist THEN looks at me and says she is running behind. Which, of course I knew because I had already been there over an hour.
The "waiting area" is just a few chairs alongside the windows, which are only a few (maybe 5-10 feet) away from the stylists chair, so she saw me. The "stylist" started on my hair 2 hours after my appointment time. During these 2 hours of waiting, I was exposed to the character of the stylists-- there was nothing but gossiping and slandering many names of the people in the town. What they didn't know is the person they spent the most time talking about, I know personally. Nor would they care because there was cussing.. "f-- this", "sh*t", "that mf", etc., and unfortunately the list goes on from there.
As if that wasn't BAD enough, one of the stylists asked her 16 or 17 year old daughter to assist with tasks and her daughter was just about as nonchalant and dismissive of providing services that the stylists were. On top of all of these instances in the two hours, I was able to look around the shop... please help me to understand WHY the stylist was not using professional products? this lady was using VASELINE on a clients hair... not pressing creme', not oils, VASELINE. Oh, and above the shampoo bowl there were bottles of Suave'. SOOOOOO they are charging prices for services and using shampoo I can get for less than a dollar at Walmart or go to the dollar tree and spend $2.14 after tax/
Now, back to my horrible service. I sit in the chair. She did NOT want to do my hair how I wanted, but was trying to talk me out of what I specifically wanted because she was "ready to go home." Guess what lady? I was ready to go home too! I should have walked out, but I had already invested at least 2 hours by this point, I was getting my hair done. Not only did she try to talk me out of my service, however after I got my hair "done", she told me "here, dis how you do this, but I aint doing this for you." referring to the different styling options for my hair. I go to pay and she asks me, "is that all of it?" as if I was going to stiff her for the sh*tty job and service. NEVER will I EVER recommend this place, to ANYBODY.
