My in laws have been residents of Lutheran Crossings for several years. After my mother in law went into the Nursing Care facility a few years ago, I got frustrated every time I went to visit her. I have asked of the staff something I think is basic for human existence and I get no cooperation. I had talked to the manager, the nurses and the aides that care for her at least 12 times asking that her water be put within her reach so she can drink when she is thirsty. When I go to visit, her lips are dry and her mouth is parched. 90% of the time, her water is by the TV across the room or on a night stand behind her or out of reach on her tray table. You would think that a person paying over $11000 a month (this is not an exaggeration) would be getting basic needs met. If she were not so frail, I would take her out of there!!
